Fly High - I went on the internet and found some interesting information on eagles
- Wingspan ranges from 72 to 90 inches
- Bald eagles can fly to an altitude of 10,000 feet
- During level flight, they can achieve speeds of about 30 to 35 mph
- Bald eagles weigh from ten to fourteen pounds
- Eagle bones are light, because they are hollow
- The beak, talons, and feathers are made of keratin
- Bald eagles have 7,000 feathers
- Longevity - Wild bald eagles may live as long as thirty years
- Bald eagles sit at the top of the food chain
- Lifting power is about 4 pounds
Isa 40:29-31 GW He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak. (30) Even young people grow tired and become weary, and young men will stumble and fall. (31) Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired.
From this verses we can clearly see that God compares us to eagles that soars. I found this so interesting. If there is a lion in the road; or a hungry bear, the eagle can simply fly over the enemy. He can fly high and see the path ahead. The eagle can fly and make it’s nest in the highest cliffs, far from dangers.
God wants us to live a life of victory. As we sour like eagles we will step into a place where we can have that victory manifest in our lives over and over
