How must we deal with a loss

Joh 10:9-11 MKJV  I am the door. If anyone enters in by Me, he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture.  (10)  The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come so that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  (11)  I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

Pro 15:4 MKJV  A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but crookedness in it is a break in the spirit.

Pro 18:21 MKJV  Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it.

Deu 30:15-20 GNB  "Today I am giving you a choice between good and evil, between life and death.  (16)  If you obey the commands of the LORD your God, which I give you today, if you love him, obey him, and keep all his laws, then you will prosper and become a nation of many people. The LORD your God will bless you in the land that you are about to occupy.  (17)  But if you disobey and refuse to listen, and are led away to worship other gods,  (18)  you will be destroyed---I warn you here and now. You will not live long in that land across the Jordan that you are about to occupy.  (19)  I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God's blessing and God's curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.  (20)  Love the LORD your God, obey him and be faithful to him, and then you and your descendants will live long in the land that he promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."

1Co 15:21-23 GNB  For just as death came by means of a man, in the same way the rising from death comes by means of a man.  (22)  For just as all people die because of their union with Adam, in the same way all will be raised to life because of their union with Christ.  (23)  But each one will be raised in proper order: Christ, first of all; then, at the time of his coming, those who belong to him.

From these verses we can clearly see that God wants us to have good things in life. Death and sorrow only came into the world because Adam sinned and he handed the whole kingdom to satan. But praise Jesus he came and restored to us the eternal life again. But because satan tempted Adam and he fell to the temptation it did usher in the curse and death.

We can resist death as much as we want but in the end death is the reality of us all. We can not escape this in anyway. Everything has a time span. You will die one day. Your business might fail. You car might brake down and many other things that we call death will happen to us all.

I learned not to blame God for these things. He is Good and the only reason why there is death in the world is because of satan and our sin.

In this series I try do make sense of dealing with loss from a biblical view and I answer the following questions.

Keys to Business Finances

Psa 35:27 KJV  Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Psa 35:27 GNB  May those who want to see me acquitted shout for joy and say again and again, "How great is the LORD! He is pleased with the success of his servant."

3Jn 1:2 MKJV  Beloved, in regard to all things I pray that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

From the above verses we can see that God is pleased when we are successful and prosperous.

The danger that we have to guard against is that we must not put money in the place of God
There is only one God and His name is Jesus. He is our Lord and not money

1Ti 6:10 MKJV  For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some having lusted after, they were seduced from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Money and stuff is not evil if we see it as tools to bless other people with

1Ti 6:17-19 MKJV  Charge the rich in this world that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, He offering to us richly all things to enjoy,  (18)  that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to share, to be generous,  (19)  laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

God is the giver of things and stuff and our response is to do the works He created us for.

In the below messages we answer the following questions
  1. What is prosperity
  2. What is the purpose of money and prosperity
  3. Where does stuff and things come from
  4. What does God say about money
  5. Can a Christian enter into business
  6. What are business keys according to the bible
  7. Why must I do budgets and asset keeping
  8. Why must I maintain my equipment
  9. How do I speak prosperity
