Tithes - Why must I tithe and be tither

The Bible teach the following in the old testament. 

 Mal 3:8-12 GNB  I ask you, is it right for a person to cheat God? Of course not, yet you are cheating me. 'How?' you ask. In the matter of tithes and offerings.  (9)  A curse is on all of you because the whole nation is cheating me.  (10)  Bring the full amount of your tithes to the Temple, so that there will be plenty of food there. Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things.  (11)  I will not let insects destroy your crops, and your grapevines will be loaded with grapes.  (12)  Then the people of all nations will call you happy, because your land will be a good place to live.

The question that so many people have is this just for the old testament times or is this still for us today

Reaching God's Vision for my Life



Hab 2:2-3 GW  Then the LORD answered me, "Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly.  (3)  The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won't be a lie. If it's delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won't be late.

Jer 1:5 GW  "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations."

Eph 2:10 GW  God has made us what we are. He has created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do.

From theses we see that God has a plan for our lives. We are created for a purpose and a function.
