Let's be honest

When we are honest with ourselves we must admit that we all want Increase, Bonuses and Promotions. But have you ever wondered what God thinks about money? Does God want us to be rich? Does God want us to be wealthy?

In this lesson I go into lots of detail that God wants and needs us to be rich and wealth. I show from the bible that God does want us to have Increase, Bonuses and Promotions. We look at the purpose of money and what attitude we must have towards money.

The Bible says


2Co 9:9-13 GNB  As the scripture says, "He gives generously to the needy; his kindness lasts forever."  (10)  And God, who supplies seed for the sower and bread to eat, will also supply you with all the seed you need and will make it grow and produce a rich harvest from your generosity.  (11)  He will always make you rich enough to be generous at all times, so that many will thank God for your gifts which they receive from us.  (12)  For this service you perform not only meets the needs of God's people, but also produces an outpouring of gratitude to God.  (13)  And because of the proof which this service of yours brings, many will give glory to God for your loyalty to the gospel of Christ, which you profess, and for your generosity in sharing with them and everyone else.


Psa 112:1-10 GNB  Praise the LORD! Happy is the person who honors the LORD, who takes pleasure in obeying his commands.  (2)  The good man's children will be powerful in the land; his descendants will be blessed.  (3)  His family will be wealthy and rich, and he will be prosperous forever.  (4)  Light shines in the darkness for good people, for those who are merciful, kind, and just.  (5)  Happy is the person who is generous with his loans, who runs his business honestly.  (6)  A good person will never fail; he will always be remembered.  (7)  He is not afraid of receiving bad news; his faith is strong, and he trusts in the LORD.  (8)  He is not worried or afraid; he is certain to see his enemies defeated.  (9)  He gives generously to the needy, and his kindness never fails; he will be powerful and respected.  (10)  The wicked see this and are angry; they glare in hate and disappear; their hopes are gone forever.

So many companies struggle because they think God will not help them. They are under the impression that the bible or only for spiritual matters. That is so far from the truth. The bible and the Holy Spirit give us all the answers and directions that we can ever need for our lives here on planet earth.

This includes how to manage your personal finances and your business finances.

Deu 8:18 GW  But remember the LORD your God is the one who makes you wealthy. He's confirming the promise which he swore to your ancestors. It's still in effect today.

God wants us be wealthy. But what is the purpose of this wealth?

Act 20:35 MKJV  I have shown you all things, that working in this way we ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive

The more you have the more you can give to people that don’t have. It is as simple as that. You can’t give what you do not have.

As you spend time with God, He will teach you how to get wealth. An easy definition for being rich is as follows. After you returned your tithes and paid all you bills, you have monies left. As God leads you then sow these monies. Rich does not mean you have lots and lots of monies. If you working well with your monies so that you can give to other people in need, you are rich.

We must work

Work to Eat - 2Th 3:10 GW  While we were with you, we gave you the order: "Whoever doesn't want to work shouldn't be allowed to eat."

In Genesis 1 and 2 we see how God worked and created everything in the universe. He then gave that responsibility to us.

Pro 10:4 Says that a hard worker will be made rich. 

God requires us to do our part. He won’t hand everything to us just out of pity. The bible says in James that faith without works is dead. The only question that we need to ask God is where our work of employment is.

Provision for your vision

The money will be there - The Bible says in Philippians 4:19 that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. God placed us on planet earth to work for Him and to increase His Kingdom with Him.  

God says in the Ephesians 3:20 that God can do much more than we will ever be able to ask or think according to the power that works in us. I seem from these verses that God is ready and waiting for us to do our part. 

Just start stepping out in faith and as you start stepping, God will start providing all the provisions for you. We have uploaded two teachings to build your faith with regards to money and finances.

Intimacy with God

One with God - The bible says in Acts 3:9 that times of refreshing comes from the presence of God. 

And the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 16:11 that there is fullness of joys in God’s presence. 

Nehemiah 8:10 says that Lord’s joy is our strength

If we read all these verses together we can't hide from the fact that we must pursue a relationship with our Lord and Saviour. When we develop intimacy with Jesus we will receive peace, joy and strength. We simply can’t live and active and productive life if we don’t make Him our first and last.
