Make like a Tree

In Psalm 1 it says that we can be like trees.

Psa 1:1-4 GW  Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers.  (2)  Rather, he delights in the teachings of the LORD and reflects on his teachings day and night.  (3)  He is like a tree planted beside streams- a tree that produces fruit in season and whose leaves do not wither. He succeeds in everything he does.  (4)  Wicked people are not like that. Instead, they are like husks that the wind blows away.

It focus on two characteristics.

Fruit and leaves. When we grow mature in our walk with God we will grow the ability to feed other people the word of God. When people are spiritually hungry or starving we have the power to give them a word of encouragement. We can speak God’s word into their situation and expect God to manifest for them a solution.

The other characteristic is leaves. When we grow in our walk with God we will develop the ability to provide shade and protection for people. When the sun is beating down on you and you take cover under a big tree you will be refreshed. The sun won’t bother you because you are protected from its sting by the branches and the leaves on the branches. When we see someone that is beaten down by the problems in their lives we can offer shade to them. We can offer comfort to them.

In the bellow teaching we give you more insight on how to be a godly tree
