Speak to your Storm

Storm Be STILL!!! – In our lives we will all face storms of some kind. When a storm comes we can easily fall in to the temptation to fear and doubt. But this is not the time to lean on your flesh. This is the time to stand on God’s Word.

Joshua 1 gives us the promise that God will never leave us and He will never forsake us. When we go through a storm we can be 100% convinced that Jesus is right there with us.

Jos 1:5-8 MKJV  No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.  (6)  Be strong and of good courage. For you shall divide for an inheritance to this people, the land which I swore to their fathers, to give it to them.  (7)  Only be strong and very courageous so that you may be careful to do according to all the Law which My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may act wisely wherever you go.  (8)  This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall act wisely.

Mat 8:23-27 GW  Jesus' disciples went with him as he left in a boat.  (24)  Suddenly, a severe storm came across the sea. The waves were covering the boat. Yet, Jesus was sleeping.  (25)  So they woke him up, saying, "Lord! Save us! We're going to die!"  (26)  Jesus said to them, "Why do you cowards have so little faith?" Then he got up, gave an order to the wind and the sea, and the sea became very calm.  (27)  The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the wind and the sea obey him!"

Look at this, Jesus is sleeping in the boat. Why is He sleeping? Because He knows that you have what it takes to calm the storm. And how do you calm the storm? By speaking God’s word into the storm.

In the below video we look at speaking God’s Word into our storms.

Make like a Tree

In Psalm 1 it says that we can be like trees.

Psa 1:1-4 GW  Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers.  (2)  Rather, he delights in the teachings of the LORD and reflects on his teachings day and night.  (3)  He is like a tree planted beside streams- a tree that produces fruit in season and whose leaves do not wither. He succeeds in everything he does.  (4)  Wicked people are not like that. Instead, they are like husks that the wind blows away.

It focus on two characteristics.

Fruit and leaves. When we grow mature in our walk with God we will grow the ability to feed other people the word of God. When people are spiritually hungry or starving we have the power to give them a word of encouragement. We can speak God’s word into their situation and expect God to manifest for them a solution.

The other characteristic is leaves. When we grow in our walk with God we will develop the ability to provide shade and protection for people. When the sun is beating down on you and you take cover under a big tree you will be refreshed. The sun won’t bother you because you are protected from its sting by the branches and the leaves on the branches. When we see someone that is beaten down by the problems in their lives we can offer shade to them. We can offer comfort to them.

In the bellow teaching we give you more insight on how to be a godly tree

Run to God when you sinned

Run To God – When we make mistakes and sin, we sometimes feel that we can’t go to God.

The bible is very clear on this – When we sin, RUN TO GOD. Never feel that God won’t accept you when you have made a mistake and have sinned.

1Jn 1:8-9 GW  If we say, "We aren't sinful" we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  (9)  God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong.

In this teaching we give you a Biblical view and plan of what to do once you have sinned. But more importantly we also look at what you can do to stop sinning habitually. God loves you so don’t allow un-repented sin to steal your joy and peace.

Going through a storm

Facing the storms – No matter what we do in life, we can be certain of one thing. We will face problems.

Right now you might be going through a problem and you are thinking “how did this happen?” Even as Christian we need to know and understand that we have an enemy.

His name is Satan.

Even if we are in the perfect will of God, Satan can still attack us and does attack us. When we face trials and tribulations it’s not because we have sinned. We simply have an enemy.

Your car might break down. You might be retrenched from work. And you DID NOT sin.

Joh 16:33 GW  I've told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you'll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world."

Joh 14:1 GNB  "Do not be worried and upset," Jesus told them. "Believe in God and believe also in me.

Act 14:22 GNB  They strengthened the believers and encouraged them to remain true to the faith. "We must pass through many troubles to enter the Kingdom of God," they taught.

From these verses we learn the following:
  1. No matter what the circumstances God's peace will never leave us
  2. If you live in this world you will have troubles
  3. To be joyful and full of good cheer is a choice
  4. If you truly believe in God and In Jesus fear should not be apart of your life. You have a RIGHT not to fear
  5. You must be among other Christians so that they can build you up and so that you can build them up
So Just RELAX – this is the time that you need to draw closer to God and not run away from Him. In the below video we discuss this in more detail.

I am well able

The Bible says in Mar 9:23 MKJV - Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

1Ti 6:12 GNB  Run your best in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself; for it was to this life that God called you when you firmly professed your faith before many witnesses.

Mat 5:16 MKJV  Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in Heaven.

God has a plan and a race for us to run. Btu sometimes we feel that we simply can’t do what God has called us to do. There might be fear in our hearts. Uncertainty about the future.

But God says all things are possible if we believe. In the below video we look at five steps for you to step into what God called you. So never be afraid of what you know God placed in your heart to do. You are well able

Sour like an eagle

Fly High - I went on the internet and found some interesting information on eagles
  1.  Wingspan ranges from 72 to 90 inches
  2.  Bald eagles can fly to an altitude of 10,000 feet
  3.  During level flight, they can achieve speeds of about 30 to 35 mph
  4.  Bald eagles weigh from ten to fourteen pounds
  5.  Eagle bones are light, because they are hollow
  6.  The beak, talons, and feathers are made of keratin
  7.  Bald eagles have 7,000 feathers
  8.  Longevity - Wild bald eagles may live as long as thirty years
  9.  Bald eagles sit at the top of the food chain
  10.  Lifting power is about 4 pounds
The Bible even talks about eagles

Isa 40:29-31 GW  He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak.  (30)  Even young people grow tired and become weary, and young men will stumble and fall.  (31)  Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired.

From this verses we can clearly see that God compares us to eagles that soars. I found this so interesting. If there is a lion in the road; or a hungry bear, the eagle can simply fly over the enemy. He can fly high and see the path ahead. The eagle can fly and make it’s nest in the highest cliffs, far from dangers.

God wants us to live a life of victory. As we sour like eagles we will step into a place where we can have that victory manifest in our lives over and over

10 Keys to business success

Business success - Are you a business owner, manager or simply just working at a company? Do you know that there are so many practical advices from God’s word how to be successful with your finances?

So many companies struggle because they think God will not help them. They are under the impression that the bible or only for spiritual matters. That is so far from the truth. The bible and the Holy Spirit give us all the answers and directions that we can ever need for our lives here on planet earth.

This includes how to manage your personal finances and your business finances.

Deu 8:18 GW  But remember the LORD your God is the one who makes you wealthy. He's confirming the promise which he swore to your ancestors. It's still in effect today.

God wants us be wealthy. But what is the purpose of this wealth?
Act 20:35 MKJV  I have shown you all things, that working in this way we ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive

The more you have the more you can give to people that don’t have. It is as simple as that. You can’t give what you do not have.
As you spend time with God, He will teach you how to get wealth. An easy definition for being rich is as follows. After you returned your tithes and paid all you bills, you have monies left. As God leads you then sow these monies. Rich does not mean you have lots and lots of monies. If you working well with your monies so that you can give to other people in need, you are rich.

I Have Purpose

I have purpose - God has created you to have value and to have a purpose. Never think that you are not of value.

Hab 2:2-3 GW  Then the LORD answered me, "Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly.  (3)  The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won't be a lie. If it's delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won't be late.

God has placed something in you that no one can but you. You are unique and God can and wants to use you to be a part of building His church.

Children serving God

God gives us the promise that our children, spouse and parents will serve the Lord.

Deu 6:6-10 GW  Take to heart these words that I give you today.  (7)  Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you're at home or away, when you lie down or get up.  (8)  Write them down, and tie them around your wrist, and wear them as headbands as a reminder.  (9)  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  (10)  The LORD your God will bring you into the land and give it to you, as he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This land will have large, prosperous cities that you didn't build.

Pro 22:6 CEV  Teach your children right from wrong, and when they are grown they will still do right.

Jos 24:15 CEV  But if you don't want to worship the LORD, then choose right now! Will you worship the same idols your ancestors did? Or since you're living on land that once belonged to the Amorites, maybe you'll worship their gods. I won't. My family and I are going to worship and obey the LORD!

As we see our loved ones not following Jesus, we can get emotionally distracted and try and get them to serve Lord in our own strength.

I know that this is probably one of the most difficult periods in your life to see your children not serving the Lord. But this is the time where we must stand and trust God’s word. Your children will serve the Lord if you allow them to come to God. It is simple mind change that you have to make.

We must work

Work to Eat - 2Th 3:10 GW  While we were with you, we gave you the order: "Whoever doesn't want to work shouldn't be allowed to eat."

In Genesis 1 and 2 we see how God worked and created everything in the universe. He then gave that responsibility to us.

Pro 10:4 Says that a hard worker will be made rich.

God requires us to do our part. He won’t hand everything to us just out of pity. The bible says in James that faith without works is dead. The only question that we need to ask God is where our work of employment is.

Why do we need to pray?

Prayer Works - If God know everything why does He still require us to ask Him for things?

Asking God for things is like asking a bank teller to give you monies that belongs to you. If you don’t fill in the right forms and follow the correct protocol – the bank will simply not give you your monies. Even if the monies belong to you.

This is the same with God. There is a way to pray and get 100% return on your prayer
